This is a nice park, there is fishing available. It also has great covered eating areas and camping spots for trailers. If you are a real outdoors person you will love it

Very calm although close to Cameron. Nature at its best. One of Missouri's state parks. When we were there, the park was not crowded.

We had driven a long way and needed just an overnight spot for our 31' travel trailer, and saw this park was near I-35. We arrived around 8:30 p.m. We got lucky as they were full but someone had just pulled out of a spot...More

Loved our overnight at Wallace! We stayed in a basic tent site, which has great seclusion but was close to all the necessary amenities. We spent an afternoon hiking the deer creek trail, which was nice-- the trail even had benches along the way. Though...More

What a great state park this is. What I was most pleased with was the campsites. We camped over the weekend. The sites are well cared for, the tent pads are mulch and have drainage. Our site had a gravel drive. The privacy was great...More

This is a great little park to camp for a weekend. The hiking trails are all very well marked and maintained. However, be aware of poison ivy right along most of the trails. They can also be pretty muddy after a rain. We camped in...More

Wallace is a great place to spend an afternoon fishing, picnicking, hiking, or a weekend camping. This park is one of Missouri's smaller parks but it is still very pretty. We walked the walking trail which was very scenic and peaceful. We haven't been camping...More

We stopped here just to stretch our legs and found a pretty lake and lots of trails. Although we only walked by the lake, the children did take advantage of the playground. The whole park is among beautiful trees and is quiet. There was also...More

If you love trees, this is the best campground around. Most campsites have great screening for privacy between sites. The camp hosts were very accommodating, and the shower house was really clean. We'll definitely be back!

I agree with John. That said, I feel that Wallace is a better camping experience over all. Watkins has a beautiful history, but the campsites at Wallace are for the most part, more private and a better environment.
