I took my young grandson and he really enjoyed it. This is an in expensive activity that you can combine with going to the Butterfly House. Great activity for a cold or rainy day in St. Louis area.

This is a 1920's carousel and has a rich St. Louis history. It's was originally at the Forest Park Highlands, and survived when the Highlands burnt in 1963. The carousel was donated to St. Louis Parks and moved to Sylvan Park, until eventually finding its home at its current place. Costs to ride is $2, and well worth the price.... More

We went here to take pictures for a wedding, but the entire wedding party was rudely turned away. We were fully prepared to pay to ride the carousel, and were not expecting any special treatment, but we were told this wasn't allowed. They gave us some story about professional photographers in the past vandalizing property, so it's now only allowed... More

Sorry to sound like such a scrooge but all of the glowing 5 star reviews are rather laughable. This is a somewhat dilapidated carousel that you can ride for a handful of minutes. There is a much nicer one at the Chesterfield Mall. The price is thankfully very cheap. The cashier was friendly. The guy running the carousel seemed a... More

I took both my grandchildren on the carousel - ages 1 and 4. It was a lovely ride and the music from Mary Poppins so fun to listen hear too. We had a wonderful ride!!

We were in town visiting my mom who is in a nursing home. We needed a diversion for our 6 year old so we decided on the Carousel at Faust Park. Best $6 spent. It's a lovely art piece and it was a long 5 minute ride. The vintage organ added to the magic. Kids will love it! The park... More

Went to Faust Park today to ride on the Carousel. It's only $2/person to ride - they have horses and elks to ridge. Afterwards we went over to the playground. Very large and the kids enjoyed it. There are even picnic benches there if you want to bring your lunch.

A gorgeous, old timey carousel.. what more could anyone ask for? Absolutely a must do.... sure, I know carousels aren't like the fast paced thrill ride most kids are used to... but going back in time and riding a gorgeously restored carousel is a part of history that is still accessible and something anyone at any age can do! Great... More
