Went to the Dan + Shay concert and reserved/paid for a table (thru the internet site) on the side balconies. Two balconies, 3 tables each with 4 chairs per table. Names will be placed on table and you get your own waitress to bring drinks. Nice to be above the floor if you can't stand for extended times. Nice place... More

Heard the Turnpike Troubadours here. Good acoustics. Easy to find a place close to stage. Upstairs offer seating with a few tables in the main floor. Take a sweater. Once the bands start they crank the AC.

Saw the group Purity Ring last month at the Blue Note and it was a great show. The venue is smaller and consists of a main downstairs/standing floor area and an upstairs balcony with seating. Getting in was quick and for those who might need a beverage there are bars both upstairs and downstairs. Drinks were moderately priced and pretty... More

Girl's Night Out - the Child Bride and her companions-in-crime went to see a cover band do Grateful Dead. It was very good. The venue is old, crowded, full of atmosphere, and convenient to the major Columbia downtown hotel. Not a bad night! (If you like that sort of entertainment).

I've never had an experience like that.Coming from California this won't be acceptable at all. After seeing how a customer was bribing the girl in charge of the coats (according to her was not more space for any coat or jacket), "the manager" in charge that night shushes me. I asked him if he thinks that was correct, he said... More

We went to see an artist back in June, and we were the first ones there at 3:00, when the show didn't start until 8:30. We got right in, the service was great, the sound system was very good. I was a few dollars short for a t-shirt, and since I was the first at the show, they let it... More

I like the location of the blue note and it's nice to be able to go to a concert at home rather than kc and stl. I do wish they carried more hard rock acts and not the same ones over and over so I could go more than once or twice a year. They seem to cater more to... More

Walked to The Blue Note with my husband, not far from the Broadway hotel. Walked in to find out that we needed a ticked but since the band was almost over we got in for free. Saw The Green play which is an awesome reggae band that really nailed it. Nice little theater thats just right in size. Really nice... More

Fairly average, good-hearted place. My friend had a good time on the balcony. Best shows are often held in conjunction with local festivals.

Went to a concert at the Blue Note on May 2nd. Sold out show for Home Free, a country vocal band. They won a season of NBC's the Sing Off. The acoustics in the Blue Note have always been great (according to husband who saw many shows here in his college days), but this venue really takes the bass to... More
