This is a great place in winter to see migrating ducks and geese. Eagles and hawks are also common visitors in winter. Things are slow in summer, but it is still a good place for birdwatchers to comb the woods and levees.

Love this hidden place where you can view all sorts of birds and in the winter eagles! Didn't do the climb but for those fit enough it is worth the trip west of Columbia and south of I 70 to visit.

This is a premier public lands and Missouri River access point less than 10 minutes from Columbia. Easy place to spot bald eagles and other migratory birds, plus popular among duck hunters in the winter.

Went during the week so it wasn't crowded at all. We saw an eagles nest and an eagle flying in the distance. We saw lots of ducks and seagulls.

Beautiful sunflowers field that are breath taking. We drove a quick 15 minutes to see these fields. They are so beautiful it takes your breath away.

We bring our dogs out here for a change of scenery on walks. It's always so quiet and never busy, and we can take different routes to change up the views. We've tried to take the trail along the river a couple times, but it...More

It is amazing to be around that many Eagles and their little ones!! It is close and the area is really great. Especially in the Spring. It's a MUST!

Drove this trail in the misting rain late in the afternoon. Saw great flocks of birds, including up close look at bald eagles. Loved it. One chemical toilet, the only facilite for miles. Well worth the trip.

This is a great place with a great view of the river and the bluffs. I would do this if you are in the area. Best time is in the fall of course when Missouri shows it fall colors off the best

You won't have crowds, there's a park and benches. The area is open but has trees. It's a great place. Bonnie
