Sugar Creek is always a favorite stop when we go on a winery trip to Augusta. Love the music, dance floor and fire pits!

It's not a lush area, but Sugar Creek is a little place that is quaint to visit. I would guess that during the summer and fall, it would be quire beautiful with the river bluffs. The inside decor could be improved upon. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. A person should find a bottle of wine that he or she... More

While the tasting room is not large, there are several other rooms and outdoor seating areas that can easily accommodate large groups of people. The staff is very well-informed about the wines and answered all of our questions professionally and politely.

Signs for one particular political party everywhere. No bike rack (The dude doesn't like bikers and, gosh, it's along the Katy Trail...) 4 dollars for wine tasting and 8 dollars for a glass of vinegar in a little plastic cup? Their wines are terrible and the atmosphere, with political signs on the barrels? Unfriendly, downright hostile, if you ask me.... More

Wine is good and the music isn't too loud like some places. There's room to spread out and great views of bottoms and river bluffs. Look forward to trying the new vodka next time we visit. Very enjoyable experience

Great place, great people. The music, one guy singing and playing guitar, was awesome. Plenty of seating with umbrellas. Went with two other couples and they loved it. You can bring your own snacks, but not bottled water. We have been there several times and they never disappoint us.

$4 to taste 3 wines, and I thought we would get more in each tasting but not so. Hardly even a swallow. They give you the glass in the $4 charge but who cares. There were 2 samples not good, one not bad. We have been to well more than 50 wineries in Missouri and have never left a winery... More

We went there for Mothers Day. Decent grounds to set up your table. A lot of shade trees, plus table umbrellas in case you have to sit out in the sun. Also a pavilion on site. Tables and chairs were plastic, would have been nice if they could have had them cleaned. They were pretty dirty. Overall though, the grounds... More

They only have snacks, IE cheese, crackers etc. Located just west of Defiance Mo. There is inside seating for the cooler days. Great place for a short visit or an afternoon. Folks there are very friendly and willing to answer questions.

Sugar Creek Winery is a warm, inviting winery offering the very best in wines, atmosphere and fun. In fact, we didn't want to leave Sugar Creek Winery with the backdrop of gorgeous rolling hills in the Missouri country side. We had so much fun here with the gracious, relaxed owners, always smiling and ensuring everyone was enjoying their wine, wine... More
