The boyhood home and surrounding attractions were very interesting for those into history. It doesn't take long to go through this, even if you go slow.

We have 4 kids from 17 to 9. Our two younger kids thought this was kind of fun, but didn't know any of Mark Twain's stories so didn't get to much of the history. The older two kids were bored to death, which is somewhat...More

Along with the Boyhood Home, you get to visit Huck Finn's home, Becky's ( aka Laura) home, and his father's law office. It was an interesting way to learn specifics about Samuel Clemens as well as life in that time period. I normally breeze through...More

We weren't able to take the tours due to time, but there is a nice neighborhood to walk through, even after hours. There are markers that explain what the houses are, and there is a fence that has a white wash bucket that you can...More

Learned a lot at the interpretive center and enjoyed touring the buildings that include Mark Twain & Becky Thatcher's homes. My kids (12 & 9) were interested in many of the exhibits.

Preservation and progress make strange bedfellows. What was best about this museum was read in the exhibits or seen on screen. The "home" seemed anticlimactic. However, Hannibal in its entirety did not disappoint. It was a lovely trip.

This was well worth the time. It had great history and even my teenagers were interested. Everything was well documented and explained.

If you've never been to Hannibal, and even if you have, seeing the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum is essential in making your visit complete. If you are a fan of Twain's writing you'll love seeing the home in which he lived.

We did not take the tour, simply strolled around and the signage was very helpful. However, if you look on the official website , there is a click link to the tour options with prices. Enjoy your visit, it is a great Town.

The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum suggests allowing at least an hour to view the historic homes and two interactive museums. But you could easily spend more time with all of the information available.
