Adam Puchta Winery, located off Hwy. 100 on the banks of Frene Creek about 2.5 miles southwest of Hermann, is the oldest family farm winery in Missouri. Its true uniqueness, however, lies in the fact that the same family has continuously owned it since 1855. We are a true farm winery with a peaceful, laidback setting. Many cats live here, and the property has picnic tables on a lovely shaded hillside so you can sit, visit and relax.Tastings are done in a cool old barn where we pair wine with food for a truly enhanced experience.

Tastings were generous. Delicious wine. We bought here as quality was best of the four we tried locally. Port is also great with separate tastings. Atmosphere isn’t as nice as the big wineries but wine is worth the visit.

Stopped in on a Sunday, $5 cover charge which includes wine samples. Had music but no band. Glasses of wine were $7. Just had one and moved on to some of the other wineries in the area. Not much of a view there.

Pretty outdoor venue. Bring a blanket and enjoy sitting on the embankment to listen to an outdoor band. Was full of brides maid groups that were loud and obviously enjoying their drinks! The wine tasting was very crowded and loud. They offered a wine slushie...More

The guest house is a wonderful place to stay for a couple friends over a weekend. Very peaceful and tranquil. Only downside is trolly does not stop at the house. Great stay!

Thanks for reviewing our Guesthaus! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you visit again soon. Sorry, sometimes the Trolley does stop at the Guesthaus if advance plans are made. Cheers!

We had heard that the Adam Putcha winery had the best tastings. If that is based on the number of tastings then that is definitely true since Adam Putcha provided the most tastings (8) of any winery, but the wines were pre selected rather than...More

We enjoyed our wine tastings here. The staff assisted us with possible choices and he was knowledgeable about each tasting. We will definitely return.

Go here first when you go winery hoping. It has hands down the best wine. And there's cute cats too.
