We enjoyed this Crusader era castle. From the top of the castle one has terrific views of the coastline and fishing vessels returning to port. There was a relaxed atmosphere here with locals fishing, young people hanging out and a few tourists sightseeing. Take your...More

Always interesting to see this castle from the inside. The entrance fee was around 2500LL. The rooftop overlooking the sea was worth the journey. Take someone with you. Since going alone, I was subjected to many questions that bordered on harassment by two of the...More

Look, I'll admit I didn't go into it. I looked at it while sailing past on some crazy boat that takes locals to some weird island beach.

Situated in the port area of Sidon (Saida) , this Sea castle is a must see attraction if you are visiting the sea side town about 45 minutes from Beirut. The castle is a bit run down and there is nothing much to see- however...More

Beautiful castle erected on a small island connected to the mainland by a fortified stone causeway located in front of the souq entrance. It deserves a visit. It is a must.

The remains of this crusaders sea castle, as well as the old souks, is a must see attraction in Sidon! There is a very nice view on the city and the port from the top of the fortress.

This was built around 1200 AD by crusaders to defend against the Muslims. The location is very pretty on an island over the Mediterranean. The structure is also interesting as the crusaders put granite Roman columns in the walls as reinforcements.
