It has been a while since we visited KC--this was the first stop on our trip. We enjoyed it so much, we came back a 2nd day. Ate supper on a Friday evening and Saturday lunch. Restaurant food was very good. We walked from our hotel, so the parking was free to us and admission is always free. Lots of... More

This is a world class museum. Great for all ages. It has some really amazing works of art. Admission is FREE, although there are some exhibits that has an admission fee, there is limited street parking which is free, and a parking garage that has a parking fee.

We spent some time here midweek in the afternoon. Parking was $8 for the day. Free admission. There's much to look at. Very large building & many pieces to look at. We had spent the earlier part of the day at the WWI museum.

In a huge building with interesting architect, this museum houses some old work and Impressionist gems. You can spend an hour or most of the day wandering through this museum. Very good art and a must see for any art fan visiting KC

I have lived in Kansas City for most of my life and I love that we have this amazing museum available to us for free. The quality of the artwork is really good and the building itself is beautiful. There are some traveling exhibits you have to pay for, but the rest of it is free. There is a beautiful... More

First off, it's free! Secondly, it is world class. Thirdly, it's within walking distance of Country Club Plaza shopping and restaurants! Excellent in every way!

The Nelson-Atkins is a fantastic place to visit. The admission for the general museum is FREE! Amazing displays of art and sculpture from around the world. Every visit I see new and beautiful artworks I had not seen before. The Bloch wing opening in March with Impressionist paintings is something I do not want to miss. The Rozelle Court dining... More

As an adult chaperone/driver, I went with members of the Youth Group from our Catholic church and our Parish priest to view galleries that depicted religious themes and images. It was inspiring to see how traditions and doctrine were passed down when many people could not read or write. Also, the experience allowed us each to reflect on our faith,... More

This museum is FREE. Yes, FREE. They do have special exhibits they charge for, but the rest of the museum is just amazing. I loved it because we could see the entire museum in a couple of hours. Don't miss having Lumch in the atrium cafe. Very reasonably priced meals. I believe they are chef prepared. We were there a... More
