We were looking forward to coming here. This was actually part of the reason for coming to Kansas City. This place has very limited hours, and then isn't even open when it should be. Complete waste of time. Also can't believe the garbage outside.

The Battle of Westport was a significant event, and is largely experienced by following a series of historical markers around the Kansas City area. Good for Civil War buffs.

I would just love to visit, but when we tried during regular business hours, it was closed. As a homeschool family with seven children who planned this trip to coordinate with curriculum and made the trip down there just to discover it locked up, I...More

A walking tour on your own is available with information posted on the trails. Not much to see, so it helps if you are able to put yourself back in history and use your imagination.

I will be in the Kansas City area between Nov 4 and Nov 6. Are any of the historic sites for the Battle of Westport open during that time period?
