We spend an evening at the Black Dolphin, (a sister to Green Lady next door) and had a marvelous entertaining evening with jazz artist Lonnie McFadden and his amazing band. Venu was spot on, with a speakeasy vibe, and the talent of Lonnie and his...More

I walked in about 11:00pm on Friday night and the place was hopping. The jazz music is outstanding and I listened to three sets before they closed at 3am! The service is excellent and the drinks are reasonably priced. It gets packed and it is...More

We've been here numerous times over the last several years, so this review is way over due. I think this is the best lounge / nightclub venue for live jazz in KC. Very hip and cool vibe inside, great seating options and skilled mixologists. Great...More

Visiting KC mid-week, we asked the hotel staff about live music venues. They tipped us off to this crazy little blast from the past that we likely would not have visited without the recommendation. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but walk through...More

What a spectacular find while visiting Kansas City. Amazing jazz club with delicious cocktails!! This is a must for jazz lovers. It has multiple floors with numerous performers so there’s always something going on.

This well-hidden lounge in Kansas City, MO, is absolutely the best bar/lounge I've ever been to. It has a fabulous retro vibe, jazz on weeknights, and amazing cocktails.

Don’t be fooled by the outside. Two floors of old fashioned fun. Dark, sexy with lots of intimate seating. The pomegranate martini was delicious. Not much in the way of snacks. We had a hummus and cracker plate.
