This is a definite must-see for Laura Ingalls Wilder (LIW) fans. The 2 homes and the museum are chock-full of items made by and used by Laura, Almanzo, and each of their families. I've visited LIW sites in DeSmet, SD and Walnut Grove, MN and...More

What was so good about this museum was the opportunity to see how the Ingalls Wilder family lived and how history continues to evolve. The movie was informative and the tour fills in so much detail. First a visit to the old home and then...More

This was my second visit to Laura Ingalls wilder museum. I was very impressed with the new facility and the gift shop. Laura's home is well kept and the hosts shared amusing stories and facts of her life. Great place to visit

The museum could be more kid-friendly- and wish we could take photos! A scavenger hunt for the kids would make it more fun for them. some dress-up clothes.

We saw the outside of the house and visited the gift shop. It was going to be almost $100 dollars for my family of 8 to go to the museum and tour the house. Myself and my two girls are the only ones really interested....More

My daughter and I really enjoyed the movie, museum, and tour. We learned a lot. My husband and son also enjoyed the history that is included. We enjoyed learning about their lives.

This is the location where Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote her series of books. There is a nice Musuem with gif shop. They have a guided tour and it is highly recommended.

While this location is not immortalized in any of Laura Ingalls Wilder's original books (it is discussed by daughter Rose Wilder Lane in a kind of afterword to Laura's journal entries in "On the Way Home"), it is a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in...More

The new museum is very nice and has lots of history to see! The tour of the home is short, but informative on the simple but remarkable life that Laura Ingalls Wilder lived. The old house does have AC so it is not uncomfortable, it...More

It depends on how long you linger looking at the extensive collection of items. We probably spent about four hours between the two houses and the museum.
