We didn’t play, but dropped in for lunch on the balcony. The food was ok … the service was a little slow … but the view from the balcony overlooking the course (with the sea in the background) was fantastic. My salt and pepper squid was good (but the chips were ordinary). My wife’s open steak sandwich was very tasty,... More

Husband played 9 holes and loved it, despite it being a stinking hot day. So for the golf I rate this very pretty course as Excellent. We went there twice for refreshments - first time for cold drinks, second time for lunch. Should have stuck to the drinks. The outlook from the verandah of the convict-era building is stunning, and... More

My husband recently played golf here and loved the course! The course is located within the world heritage site of Kingston and is a very picturesque 9 hole course, with great views looking out to the ocean. If you want to play 18 holes, just go around again. The short par 3 overlooking the ocean can be very interesting, especially... More

Unfortunately didn't get to play the 9 holes, would have loved to get out there for a hit. A very picturesque course, a credit to the greenkeeper(s). Instead we called into the club rooms for a look and a lunch. Nothing was a problem, soon had a nice bowl of fries and a couple of beers in hand. Big competition... More

Thanks for the review. Yes, it's a great place to stop in for lunch - whether you play golf or not. We have just finished the tournament you were referring to (The Hardys Wines Pro-Am Golf Classic) and it was a huge week with the golf course full all week. Hope to see you again on Norfolk Island. This 9 hole course on this historic and beautiful island is a must do for golfers, and a great introduction to any who would like to be golfers. The course is well maintained, links style, with enough Norfolk Pines to make it interesting. The beautiful par 3 next to the beach is worth returning to. A cool drink on the... More

I'm not a golfer, but had a thoroughly enjoyable morning playing at being a caddy for my husband, who is. My husband is a huge driver (about 300m) and there are a couple of holes that provide that opportunity, as well as another few that are pretty challenging. It's only 9 holes (which was perfect for us on the day),... More

Thanks for the review Julie. Yes, it doesn't matter which way you look, there's is a great view everywhere at our golf club. Whether it's the Norfolk Pine plantation between the golf course and Emily Bay (one of the top 10 beaches in Australia), the steep hill with the old convict buildings just outside the northern edge of the golf... Played over 9 hole course and late Sunday Morning was brillant .Other travelling companions came for a leisurely stroll and didn't regret the coastline scenery.Although the Army worms/lawn grubs" had attacked the course.just like every lawn on the island, you had GOOD grass pile to hit off, with a coastline 3 par hole a challange! Just had to clear GRUBS for a... More

Thanks for the review. Yes, we do have the notorious lawn grub here at certain times of the year - however our new green keeper from South Africa has seen it in action earlier this year (after not seeing before) and assures me he has a plan to combat it when they are likely to appear early next year. I'm... More
