This museum has a real cabin, a real one-room schoolhouse, plus a museum. You can get a guided tour of all. It was very educational and fun for the kids. They loved the cabin best of all because it was papered with newspapers and looked...More

A recent remodel made this excellent local museum even better. Building is originally a county jail and sits in a History Park. One room school house and other excellent local pieces of history.

I was in Neosho, Mo for a brief visit and made my way to the Newton County Museum, a Nice Local Museum! The log cabin in the back is the best part and don't miss the outhouse. Very Good Visit!

Oh what a nice little museum. it's always difficult to display history in the small town museums. there's often a shortage of space with way too many artifacts. they have done well to display lots of artifacts and minimize the amount of clutter. Having relatives...More
