Bluff Dwellers Cave is littered with stalactites and stalagmites, curtains/draperies, saw tooth drapes, flowstone, cave popcorn, cave coral, and cave sponge. One of our most famous, the Musical Chimes, are formed by hollow curtains of rock that are hollow within, producing a unique frequency similar to a xylophone. This formation has been an icon at Bluff Dwellers Cave since its inception in 1927. The tour guides are one of a kind musicians at playing the Chimes. You should allow at least one hour for the guided tour. The Browning Museum and gift shop is also included. The museum is a wonderful collection of mineral rocks, fossil rocks, artifacts and antiques. You can also pan for gemstones and fossils. Oh, and don't let the steps up to the cave scare you; they are the hardest part of the cave adventure! Last tour is 45 minutes before closing.

The cave stays 56 degrees, so dress according. You are walking most of the time so I was comfortable in capris and a short sleeved shirt. Due to the fact that this a natural place his is not a handicapped accessible area. There are stairs...More

We really enjoyed the tour. There are slot of natural things in this cave. Stalagmites, stalagtites, and slot of other things.. Only wish tour would allow for people to stay in longer. But very cool.

Kids can learn some earth science in a 45-minute walk through a well-cared-for cave. Free postcards from the 60s and a gift shop. Walk up about 20 or so stone steps to cave entrance. Clean, well-kept grounds outside the cave. Afterwards, eat burgers and feed...More

This is a great local attraction that visited as a child. I took my 9 year old and he loved it. Usually smaller groups. It is guided, so that is a plus. Moderately priced. Not too long, not too short. If you are looking for...More

We spelunked this cave on a cold afternoon. It was nice because the cave was warm. Cave tour is about 45 min to an hour. Cave is kind pretty and has some interesting points. Guide was informative and polite.

Very knowledgeable guide. Path in cave was fairly easy to walk. Friendly staff. Lots of bats! Guide lets you touch one piece of cave. This was great for curios children.
