The Ralph Foster Museum contains a vast collection of artifacts with special emphasis on the history and culture of the Ozark Mountain Region. Originally housed in Abernathy Hall, a boy's dorm on the campus of College of the Ozarks, the building has been transformed into three floors of exhibits where visitors will find many items of interest, such as antiques, dolls, clocks, music items, a large firearms collection, natural history, and textiles, in addition to the Beverly Hillbillies truck that was used in the television series.

Best Museum

A great family friendly museum. Has 4 floors and lots of unique stuff on each floor. Some are from a movie and also about the collage.

Even if you think most museums are kind of boring, you'll find so many things to see and learn you'll leave being impressed with this one. It will introduce you to the Ozark''s colorful history and how people lived in the olden days. Give it at least an hour. It's not easy to find, though, because it's tucked back behind... More

There is a lot to see. Our grandchildren were with us and they enjoyed the museum. It is clean and accessible to anyone that cares to visit. The Beverly Hillbilly car (from the show) is at the museum .. Take your time and enjoy. Yes, it is air conditioned.

Didn't know what to expect. But this museum has three floors of interesting exhibits on a variety of subjects. Much of it having to do with the Ozarks. We spent about 3 hours and enjoyed every second. I know I did not see everything so will return in a few years. I really enjoyed my whole experience at the College... More

This has one of the best collections I've ever seen. 1st floor is all about music in the Ozark region. You can even get a picture with the Beverly Hillbillies vehicle! On the 2nd floor is one of the biggest collection of guns and rifles you will ever find. There is even a Gatling gun on display. 3rd floor was... More

We were late getting to Branson and had an eight PM show, so were pressed for time, but enjoyed the museum enough we will be going back. It's on the College campus and we ended up asking one of the students for final directions. The admission was very reasonable and all the employees we saw in the museum were students.... More

Our group ended our Campus Tour at the Museum. From the Beverly Hillbilly's Car to the taxidermy Grizzly Bear to the hundreds of guns to the Kewpie dolls...there is literally something for everyone's interest! Butterflies, birds, Dahl Sheep, miniatures, dried apple-head dolls, quilts, furniture, coins, stamps....please don't make me go on, just go have a look! Two hours for our... More
