He has a great winery. There were 5 different wines I tried and I liked all of them which was surprising as he has drier wines and normally I don’t like them. He had 2 reds and 3 whites. I didn’t like the red wines...More

My wife and I stopped in to Heinrichshaus yesterday for the first time and it was amazing! Heinrich took us through a tasting of 6 wines. We love dry wines and every one that we sampled was first rate, complex and delicious. Heinrich was very...More

Don't expect anything fancy at this location. In fact, ~ the quaint, small, almost clean tasting room adds to the family charm of this unique winery. The purpose for your visit here is the finest of Chambourcin, Norton and Chardonel wines to be found in...More

This winery is off the beaten path and not trendy but has a charm that shouldn't be missed. Heinrich was a delightful man who told us about the wines. We prefer sweet wines and he only had dry and semi dry wines, but he still...More

Wonderful. I first found Heinrich House ~ 10 years ago when I started enjoying Missouri wines. It's a 500 mile trip, but I make it once or twice a year to stock up. My favorites are the Prarie Rouge and Cynthiana. Wonderful dry wines that...More

Heinrich is our favorite person to see when we come to Missouri. His wines are great and his knowledge is exceptional. Don't let the looks deceive you....Heinrich built this winery himself and makes his wine with so much love. Enjoy the experience!!!

I had read the other excellent reviews so was expecting greatness! Off the beaten path was an understatement. Looked abandonded. The building was extremely run-down, over-run with bushes, smelled damp and moldy, the bathroom had not been cleaned in years, and there was a dead...More

Such a gem of a winery. Worth the trip into the woods. Sweet German vintner with the best wine for miles. Go see him, you won't be disappointed.
