I love this zoo. I grew up in Saint Louis not appreciating how lucky I was to have access to this zoo. In college I completed a Behavior Internship with them and got to learn even more. The Saint Louis Zoo truly tries their best to provide good welfare for the animals. The enclosures are well designed and they are... More

If you are a fan of zoos this one is great. You can't really beat it since it's free. They had lots of animals in natural like settings and it is a very large zoo. If you want to enjoy any shows such as the Sea Lion show you will have to pay extra for a ticket. We watched the... More

The St Louis Zoo is a must see if you are visiting. They have great exhibits and educational programs. The best thing about this Zoo is that it is one of the best FREE things to do in the Lou.

Fabulous Polar bear and wild cat exhibits. A St louis institution. Spend the day!! Take a picnic or go with their options. Plenty of shade for hot days. Week ends tend to get crowded.

My family visits the St. Louis Zoo once or twice a year. We live in St. Louis. You can either find a spot to park on the side of curb, or pay $20 to park in the adjoining park lot. Honestly, I've always just paid the $20. I would recommend getting a bracelet when you first walk in, if you... More

The Saint Louis Zoo would be awesome at any price, but free admission makes it even better! The exhibits are modern and educational, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant and clean. The staff is friendly and informative. There is a very reasonable fee for parking.

You can spend one full day with kids. If you are planning your trip in a sunny day you should arrive early as possible to see most of African animals, they like to hide! We spend roughly four hours but haven't visited some parts. Penguin cave is a gorgeous place to see, and a good spot to cool down. We... More

The begs begs begs for money, they get massive donations from people and companies. Yet they can't afford to pay there employees higher wages. They have employees that have been with them for 8 years and aren't even considered part time. they keep there employees at seasonal so they can be laid off at any point of the year with... More

With my meager experience with probably 10to 15 zoos, I have to put Stl Zoo at the top of the list. Not only is it FREE, it's clean, the staff are friendly and the variety of animals and shows are great! Definitely worth the trip!

Free Zoo with excellent extras. The polar bear and penguin exhibits are great, although the penguin house always smells likd it could use an extra cleaning. Stingray Cove & children's zoo are great areas for hands on activities. This is also an awesome place for birthday parties!
