"Thank-you" to St. Louis for offering this and other amazing free attractions (such as the A-Busch Brewery, forest park, art museum, and MO history museum). We spent approximately 4 hours enjoying the zoo. Free street parking nearby if you're willing to walk a few blocks. Go in the morning when the animals have just been fed; they are less active... My kids liked it - I'm not a big fan of zoos. Cages seems smaller than I'd like to see. Prices at concession areas are very high. Animals weren't very active when we went, but that's our fault for going in mid-april.

This is a very nice zoo and appears well maintained and clean. Very lightly attended on a recent visit during the school day but still saw tons of teens on an excursion. The admission is free and you can see lions, elephants, giraffes, monkey and don't miss the "snake house" for frogs, turtles and large and small snakes from around... More

There is nothing better for free than the St. Louis Zoo! Beautiful animals that are as close as you would want them to be, and very educational. There are more attractions inside the zoo that you can pay for but if not, there is plenty to do free of charge.

So few zoos are free. Pay for extra stuff or parking, but if you're willing to walk a ways you can park free too. The elephants are my favorite. Shady walkways and lots of vantage points.

Very good zoo and best of all it is free! Our whole family goes several times a year. My favorite sections are the outside tiger enclosure, the seals, and the monkeys.

When I moved to Naples, my husband wanted to go to Naples Zoo. Cant campare to St. Louis. Its is ten times larger... More

Spent and enjoyable day at the this zoo last Saturday and had a great time. Zoo is free, there is plenty of shade and sun. Nice habitats for the animals. Parking can be horrible if you want to park for free. Available pay parking is minimal. But it is a great zoo and I highly recommend it. They have reasonable... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday stroll through the St Louis Zoo. They had wheel chairs, strollers and such for rent which made our day more enjoyable. The animals were at the best with the rhino standing up from his nap to give us a great profile. Our only problem was parking. We found it in an offsite lot and if... More
