Another world class attraction in this underrated city. The variety is spectacular with Japanese, Chinese, and yes even a Ottoman gardens along tropical and dessert exhibits. Yes it also has a rose garden.

This is a most excellent botanical garden to visit in the summer. The daylily garden was in full amazing bloom. The fragrant garden was filled with oriental lilies of many varieties. The unique, and unusual varieties of summer annuals on display is unrivaled.

The flowers that were blooming were beautiful but we must have gone at a bad time. Not all the flowers were in bloom, it was extremely hot that day as well. Map is hard to read, signs are not helpful, and there is no staff...More

Gardens were lovely, but we tried to cover too much ground our first time in a 2 1/2 - 3 hour window. If I were to do it again, as a first time visitor, I would take the tram to get an overview of the...More

As we approached to purchase our tickets, a volunteer spoke to the cashier. When he walked away, she said that if we wanted an excellent tour that he was the one to find upstairs. We hadn't intended to take a guided tour of the garden,...More

This is a great activity for almost any situation I can think of. I was there with a group, but it would be such a great place to take kids of all ages. There was also a tram that could take people who are not...More

The glass exhibit in the Climatron was beautiful. The gardens are gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed our time strolling from garden to garden.

The Missouri Botanical gardens may be a bit pricey (when compared to the other attractions St. Louis has to offer), but it is totally worth the price. Plan on spending the better part of a day here, meandering through, taking in all nature has to...More

Just wish they wouldn't charge so much. I know they have to make money to keep the place up, but I wish more places like this would try making less money on more people instead of more money on less people. In my mind, it...More

I can't, because I'm busy on Wednesday evenings. ;) But the MOBOT grounds typically remain open during special evening events. Not sure about the buildings. Call them to be sure.

What is the best time of day to see the gardens in June? Unsure whether to go during the day time, afternoon, or for the night time Garden of Glass.

Early morning is best to get a start before the heat but the night time lighting is beautiful and different. Or go late in the day and stay for sunset to see both.
