I've been coming to Jefferson Barracks for as long as I can remember. From back in the 80s having hours of fun playing with my sister in the park to visiting family at the cemetery. I haven't been for several years and have moved to the next state, but recently I came back here to visit and not much has... More

We went there after seeing the review. It was great friendly desk worker told us what was where and what not to miss. There was lots of history there and very well done. We have been to many history museums and I think this one was really well done. If your in St Louis don't miss this one.

An amazing cemetery. Full of dear and tears. A great place to pay your respects and give thanks regardless if you have a loved one there.

My dad is buried here. He is a veteran of WWII. There is a lot of history in this park. It sits high on a cliff along the mighty Mississippi river. When he was alive and my sisters and brother and I would come down to a playground near this graveyard. That was in the 1960's. We buried him July... More

Amazing this national cemetery is off the radar. We had never heard of it and stumbled across it when we visited the civil war museum. Definitely worth a drive through. Only disappointment is that the park is so large, even though there are maps, you don't know what or where to look for things. I would do some research for... More

Such order and care is taken of the whole area. Awe-inspiring to see. Makes you feel like you are walking into a part of history.

Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant were assigned here. If you are a history buff, read up on this and check it out when you are in St. Louis. If you visit at dusk, there are lots of deer who are used to being fed by the locals. Bring some carrots and the deer will come right up to... More

First off the visitors center is hard to figure out. The entry door is a nondescript door on the ground level in the back of the building. The map we were provided for the grounds is detailed and colored but the names and number on the map don't necessarily match the buildings. It is a little hard to figure your... More

This park is breathtaking. Rows and rows of tombstones of people who have served our country. So unbelievable! And if you go right before dusk, there are deer everywhere in between the headstones. Takes your breath away.

This jewel was something we discovered within the past year thanks to members of our church family. The museums will ignite the memories of those who served, their attire, weaponry, battles, and for some, the ultimate sacrifice. The displayed travel date is approximately six months later than our actual visit because the calendar doesn't go back far enough.
