With the mission "to ignite and sustain lifelong science and technology learning", the Saint Louis Science Center is one of the top five science centers in the United States, and has been named one of the Top 10 Science Centers for Families by Parents Magazine and one of America's most visited museums by Forbes Traveler Magazine. The complex includes over 56,000 sq-ft of interactive science-technology exhibits that are part of the Science Center's free general admission. Opening in June 2016 is GROW, a one-acre outdoor exhibit that will take visitors on a journey of food, to gain a deeper understanding of our food supply. The Science Center's ticketed areas include the OMNIMAX, a four-story IMAX Dome theater; the James S. McDonnell Planetarium, one of the world's largest planetariums; and the Discovery Room, an activity area for families with younger children.

Fun place to go for families. Check out a documentary movie at the omnimax movie screen. It has a dome screen that is neat to watch a space movie or other documentary style movies.Lots of science type exhibits.

Went here for a movie, lots of fun. Had a seat right next to the projector, blocked out the lower bit of the screen. Not that I was looking that direction but just some fod for thought. Rest of the Center is great, well worth a visit

The St. Louis Science Center is a great place for families to visit. It is in the same area as Forest Park and the St. Louis Zoo, so if you get rained out of any activities there, this is a great back up. Don't get me wrong though, it is a great place to visit on its own and you... More

As a lifelong St.Louisan , I am always proud to show off our Science Center. Admission is free! There is a fee for parking. You could also park in Forest Park and take the trolley or street park and walk. There are interactive free exhibits on many levels and you could spend all day there easily. For an additional fee, there... More

Looking for a fun, FREE and educational family activity! This place is for you. It is a totally different venue than City Museum so don't think "Well we are already doing one museum type thing so let's skip out on the other." DO BOTH! If you are looking for the Educational component WITH hands on learning and COOL stuff you... More

We visited the Science Center one day last week. Had a good time there. Cant beat the admission price but you do have to pay to park ($10). The grand-kids had a great time with all the hands on exhibits and about wore us out!! One can spend quite a bit of time there. The OMNI theatre and other things... More

A nice place to spend time with your family- very crowded over the holiday break. They have a variety of activities for the kids and it is worth the visit.

Yet another great hands on place in this city. FREE to get in and enjoy all the exhibits. Plenty to see and learn for all ages. The only charge would be for the Planetarium or movie theater.

Regular admittance is free, which is great. Parking was $10. We didn't enter the discovery area that was $4/person and you have to get tickets and it was busy enough the next couple of hours were sold out. Kids loved the dinosaur/digging area, the radar detectors on the bridge and the science lab probably the most. We went to one... More

Dealmom83- Thanks for choosing to visit us along with a couple of our sister institutions during your stay in St. Louis. We're glad you enjoyed some of our more play-based activities for your 4 & 7 year-olds, but regret that holiday crowds seem to have kept you from seeing everything we have to offer. We hope you can return to... More
