Pickle Springs is 8 miles from Farmington and 24 miles from Ste Genevieve. With the address being Ste Genevieve I thought it would be closer to Ste Gen but it is not. We went during the week arriving about 10. There was no one but us; it was a quiet and beautiful hike. It is a 2-mile loop and took... More

Beautiful hiking area! You won't regret a visit here. I've been hiking here for forty years. Worth a trip every season of the year!

Getting there is interesting as it is not very well marked and you will feel as if you have made a wrong turn, parking is seriously lacking, but the hike was great. Easy to follow path, a little rugged but great scenery. We were just happy to be out hiking in Feb in 70 degree weather!

My in-laws live in Farmington, so we've hiked Pickle Springs a number of times. I took our 4.5-year-old son there this past weekend and he did the 2 mile trail like a champ. It was the busiest I've ever seen it, so be aware that if it's a nice weekend day it won't be an isolated hike, but all hikers... More

We took our 8 year old grandson on his first hike here to enjoy the beautiful sunshine & spring-like weather in February. He enjoyed climbing on the various rock formations & exploring the streams as well. Many families were on the trail because of the great weather. We come frequently & always find something new to discover. Great place!

One of the best hikes in Missouri! The rock formations and water pools are great to explore. The rocky bluffs that over look this little valley are a great stopping place for a snack or a meal. There is a beautiful little grotto with a waterfall and the loop trail is perfect for a 1/2 day hike.

One of the best places to hike. Trail is clearly marked, beautiful rock formation. Only 2 miles around to good hike for any age. We live this place.

Arches, switchbacks with breathtaking views, box canyons, slot canyons, and cliff faces with pockets and ledges; caves and keyholes are all that await you in this wonderland surrounded by ozark streams and pine forests. If you want solitude, better come on a rainy day.  We arrived with an over-packed parking lot.  At least 10 cars (in each direction) were parallel... More

Loved Pickle Springs for a short day hike! Even in the dead of winter, it was beautiful! A sign says dogs are not allowed but there were a lot of dogs there on leashes and they didn't cause any problems.

This is one of my favorite hikes. It's short, about 2 miles. But every inch is lovely, especially the views at the end.
