Dickerson Park Zoo is where people and animals connect. Enjoy getting outside and enjoying the natural beauty of the area while seeing and learning about animals from Africa, Tropical Asia, South America, Australia and North America. See the reptiles at the Ambler Diversity of Life center, ride the Titus Express miniature train, get up close and personal with the giraffes on the giraffe deck (giraffe feeding an additional fee but observation deck is free) and visit the petting zoo. Cafe and gift shop also available.

There is more than average walking at the zoo compared to the amount of attractions. Still, a great little place to spend a day. I enjoyed the way the layout is. Bring a picnic lunch and have a great time.

The Dickerson Park Zoo is a lovely set up. You can feed the giraffes, and get an amazing up close view of them! All of the other exhibits are amazing as well.

I am getting more and more convinced that not every decent sized city needs to have its own zoo. It's cool to help rehabilitate animals but there is no reason to warehouse animals in small areas just to entertain people. A lot of the animals...More

We visited during Spring Break. It was a cooler, rainy morning but we still enjoyed this zoo. It was larger than we expected. I think the elephants were the only animals not out that day, but it was probably weather related. We went primarily to...More

Enjoyable day with the kids. Large enough variety of animals to keep them entertained and small enough zoo where can see everything in a couple of hours.
