Cuivre River State Park is a bit of the Ozarks outside of the Ozarks – a nature lovers paradise just a short drive from St. Louis that is vibrant with colors three seasons of the year. The park’s renowned trails take visitors through prairies and forests of oaks and hickories. The park’s three natural areas feature sinkhole ponds and woodlands that would be more at home in southern Missouri. The park has hiking and equestrian trails, modern campsites, group camps, picnic areas and a lake so everyone can enjoy one of Missouri’s most rugged and beautiful jewels.

Cuiver River is more of a rustic park, though it still offers many things to do. They have RV hookups, camping, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and more. The park is fairly large. Though it is just off Hwy 67, it is somewhat isolated and not...More

We stopped at the visitors center first and even though it was very busy the staff person was so kind and helpful. We got to our hiking destination and enjoyed it immensely. I would return there for more lovely experiences.

My spouse and I rode our trail bikes on Old Schoolhouse Trail and had a blast. If you park at the cul de sac and ride from there down the paved road through the gate to the Camp, you'll access the trail in a direction...More

Through out the years we have come to this park at least 4 times to camp. Park is great for swimming and has great hiking trails. The full-hook up sites have gone down hill. I don't think any rock has been put on the sites...More

We were in missouri visiting, staying in bridgeton and searched for places to go swimming. We made the drive out here to swim and were pleasantly surprised to see they had extremely cheap kayal and canoe rentals. Instead of swimming we rented kayaks and had...More

Took a drive through the park and also stopped at a picnic spot to rest and relax. Enjoyed the drive through the park very much. It is a beautiful park !! Seemed to be well tended and easy to get around in.

I am not a camper, but our family had a wonderful experience. We found a scenic view, overlooking the lake. The accommodations were very good and we will be camping more often.

This state park is an excellent getaway for the day or to stay for a few nights. There is hiking, fishing, camping and many areas to explore. It is also close to St. Louis but still feels like a forest too.

I don't belive so. You could always call the park and ask though. They also had bikes for rent, if you would be interested in that.
