This is a great place to visit for hiking or riding. Not terribly accessible. Very spiritual area for many reasons. The canyon is also something to see.

The Pryor Mountains are a great place to visit, this area is well known for a large amount of history and folklore. When visiting the area ensure to take time out to take photos, enjoy a picnic, and make sure to leave some fruit behind for the little people that according to folklore are known to live within the region.... What drew us here was the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Reserve and the hope of seeing one or more herds of wild horses. We were not disappointed! First, your best chance of seeing horses is coming into the reserve from the Lovell WY side rather than the Crow Reservation side. Stop at the Wild Horse Center and talk to a... More

The Pryor Mountains are an amazing place to feel solitude and peace. These mountains are a nice retreat, although you need to have a good map/gps to know where you are at- there is a mix of reservation, forest service and private land. Big Ice cave and Mystery Cave are fun places to check out as well. During late summer,... More

This is the home of the "little people" as the Crow called them. You drive out of Billings, through the south hills, and into the area where several movies have been filmed. It is quite picturesque. The locals will not greet you with much gladness, and once you are on the Crow Reservation, it is illegal to get out of... More

I had an excellent guide familiar with the Pryor Mountains and the Crow Indian Reservation. We went bass fishing and had a great time!

Amazing experience here. Scenic total beauty but also gets the adrenaline rushing. We drove around (actual looking to exit) for over 4 hours did not see another person at all but some amazing wildlife. Off roaded through the mountains, should have had an ATV rather than just an on road 4x4 but was exhilirating. Did not see the Bears thankfully!... More

The Mountains are beautiful. We went to try and find the Wild Horses and did not find them. Still the country is beautiful. If you go off road only do so if you have a 4 Wheel Drive
