"Our Lady of the Rockies", a 90-foot statue sitting atop the Continental Divide is the result of a dream and six years of hard work. With the help of generous donations and a wealth of love and faith, countless volunteers completed a seemingly impossible task. On December 29, 1985 "Our Lady" was placed on the East Ridge to overlook Butte, Montana. The base sits at an elevation of 8510 feet above sea level and 3500 feet above the mile high city of Butte. The statue, lighted and visible at night, is a spectacular sight to behold.

Nothing ruins an experience quite like an expensive tour bus ride up an unimproved mountain road. While the statue is beautiful, I'd recommend enjoying it's sight from town. It's not worth the money to get up close. Save your cash for Bannack State Park instead....More

I would recommend you ask for directions to get to this. The statue is quite stunning at night and can be seen from several spots while you are in Butte.

I love Butte solely because it's quiet. The lady up on the mountain is very cool at night and you won't miss her. Montana is a great outdoors state!

The statue and view of Our Lady is grand. However be aware that making reservations means nothing. They will cancel on you, or you may show up and the place is closed. I believe the staff is volunteering and mostly over 70 so I won't...More

About 30 minutes. On one of our trips we were in a van and the other trip we were on an old school bus. You spend about 45 minutes with the Lady.
