We stopped at the dam and then went to the park where the falls were but we weren't able to do much as they gates were already locked for the season (Labor Day).

The falls were almost dry the island was closed. The drive was dusty and I didn't feel the dam was marked to make it easy to find.

Decided to take the drive out to Ryan Dam, although we were too late as the island & bridge were closed for season, we still were not disappointed with the view of the dam! Road is bumpy but we weren't in a hurry so didn't...More

There is a pretty little park and some interpretative signage at this waterfall / dam / hydro station. I was mostly saddened by how beautiful these falls must have been before the hydro station was built.

Beautiful dam. In fact the ride all the way down the waterfall road, from Black Eagle falls, and the walking area at the last waterfall is great. Well worth the visit

A nice place to visit off the beaten path. Has a nice picnic area and view of the dam. Would recommend a visit.

This is a fun park that's off the beaten path. There is plenty of room for the kids to explore while the adults have a picnic. You won't be disappointed.

As other reviewers have stated the large hydroelectric dam destroys the optics for anyone wanted to see what the Discovery team saw. Yet, history buffs need to go. It would be helpful if the Dam released enough water to imagine the original views.

It is variable since it all depends on water levels year round. May/June is typically a good time to try since Spring runoff will typically raise river water levels sufficiently to have all or most of the gates opened to... More
