Beautiful cathedral. If nothing else, go see the incredible glass. It was built 1904, but it easily looks older and reminds me of the churches in Europe. If you go on a Saturday in spring/summer, they run a farmers market which was awesome!

We were surprised to find such a beautiful Cathedral in Montana. It felt like stepping into a Cathedral in Europe. It is finished in exquisite detail with beautiful stained glass windows.

Looks like something you might see in Rome with the details on the front of the church. What an impressive church, and the setting on the hill makes it even more so. Make sure to go inside to see the stained glass.

This was a beautiful building. I was in awe just viewing the front before entering. It has a beautiful grand presence in the town. And the cathedral itself was open for viewing and the stained glass windows were amazing. Must see for the whole family.

We had a very peaceful visit. There was a lovely pipe organ being played while we were there. The stained glass is beautiful.

A beautiful church. It was my childhood church. The church is always the first place I visit when I go home, it feels like home. I didn't appreciate it's beauty until I moved away. If you find yourself in Helena, it is a must see. I also love that they still ring the bells at the top of the hour.

We had visited thenStatenCapitol so walked to see the Cathedral. And it was definitely worth it. The cathedral is large (certainly by US standards) and picturesque outside, but it’s the inside that’s really impressive. Sadly so many churches remain locked when not in use these days, but this one was open. The altar is stunning as is the vaulted roof but the most breathtaking part is the stained glass. Well worth a visit.

This question is too broad but if it is church related I would say the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica in Rome

This may sound silly but is the inside of the church open to the public?
thank you

It was open when we were there on a weekday afternoon. I suggest you just go there. If it is not open, then wyou will still have seen some interesting houses along the way.
