A nice falls about 15 to 20 feet high. A short hike from parking lot, which is located on Highway US#2. There are a lot of steps involved in crossing railroad track.

I am scared to death of heights, but pushed myself to cross the bridge. We had a great time and felt like kids again.

Few miles from Libby towards Troy on Highway 2, you can stopover for viewing this attraction. Take the trail towards the Kootenai swinging bridge. The view from the bridge is awesome. The bridge itself is narrow and give way to others to pass. Maximum of...More

Awesome! Thrilling! Didn't like the 5 person limit but understand why. Liked the netting on sides for protection.

The Kootenai Falls are amazing! Signage for the falls is minimal so pay attention when driving. A short walk from vehicles to the falls - wear good shoes. From the falls head to the swinging bridge. Only 5 people allowed on bridge at a time....More

From Kalispell to the trail head which is just west of Libby is about 100 miles and easily done between 1:45 and 2 hours. It is definitely worth the trip. Bring snacks and drinks and don't miss going to the falls. It is... More

I saw lots of dogs on leashes. But going over the train tracks there are steps and a platform with sharp edges that I think would be hard on their feet. I wouldn't take my large dog across that.
