5 year old granddaughter got to "RIDE A REAL HORSE"!

It was a wonderful learning and fun experience for her. The staff at the stable were wonderful and the guide was excellent!

I hate to say it but Chico Hot Springs fell short. The water was luke warm and DIRTY! Lots of people in pool and had to wonder if they ever cleaned it or just how sanitized the water was. I wouldn't expect chemical cleaners but I also wouldn't expect the water to be hot enough to kill germs. We couldn't... More

I took the 1 hour horseback ride & it was awesome. Christy was my wrangler and she was great. The horse she picked for me was name Blade & he was a sweetheart. The ride was perfect. I have only rode a few times but this was the best. Christy was so informative about the land & the horses. She... More

We did the half day (3 hours) horse back ride through the mountains and trails. Our guides were very nice. 3 out of the 4 of us were inexperienced riders, and the horses were very gentle. The view from the top of our ride was gorgeous! The three hours were enough for us, but I know some people prefer to... More

This spot was chosen for a family reunion. The hot springs pool is great. Obviously very hot. The food in the poolside grill is pretty reasonably priced and not too bad tasting. The grounds are beautifully kept. We stayed in the fisherman's lodge and it was great. Pretty spacious for a basic room, and the beds were fairly comfortable. I... More

We enjoyed spending time in Chico Hot Springs which offers two different hot pools. They fill the pools with spring water and you can really feel the benefits. I wish I could have spent more time there. It was a real treat.

The water was 99 degrees in one pool and 106 in the small pool. It was very relaxing but a little too warm for the temp outside. Not really anywhere to cool off. It was a good experience though. Then we drove our 4x4 into the small town behind the hot springs and enjoyed watching the creek alongside the road.

During my visit, I honestly didn't take advantage of the extras at this resort like the spa or the horseback rides. The setting is beautiful and I was sufficiently entertained by the hot pool, hiking behind the resort and hanging in the saloon during the live music. Everyone there was great and I'm glad they had some reasonably priced rooms.

We went for our birthdays and enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the 5 star restaurant, then a delicious breakfast buffet the next morning!! Sitting in the spring pools was relaxing and just perfect way to end the day!!! I believe our visit was March 2015...

Chico hot springs has worked hard to keep up with the demand for tourist use and I understand the challenges. I've been coming to Chico before it had a roof. I've eaten many times at the Grill and had average food. But over the last two years, the food in the Grill has slid downhill to the point I am... More
