Hike about 6 miles back to Broadwater, a wide spot in the creek. The trail has a gentle grade and is right along the creek. The Broadwater area is easy to spot and lots of rocks to sit on and enjoy the view.

One of the 1st trails I hiked in the area back in 1985. Have done it many times since. Have seen moose and mountain lions on the trail. No bears yet. One time took my 70 year old aunt a few miles up the trail.

I read the description of the trail in the Red Lodge Magazine and it mentioned the potential for seeing moose. This was one animal we had not yet seen on our Western road trip so I jumped at the chance to hike this trail. We...More

This was our favorite snowshoe trail in the Red Lodge area. We went to the wilderness boundary. Fun!

This trail was well kept and beautiful. Bear were active when I went and as a city girl was not prepared, make sure to have bear spray/bear bell. I happened to have a whistle in my bag so used that and some, "Hey Bear!" calls,...More

I have personally ridden this trail many times. Usually have had encounters with moose but not bears. Hikers are very considerate and get off the trail. Horses have the right of way but some hikers are not familiar with that.

I think a stroller is doable for the first section of the hike, I can't speak for the entire hike since I didn't go that far
