Interesting little "museum". House in the back reminds us of how hard it would have been to live back in the day.

Cool sculptures made of bed springs and barb wire that you can walk up to. We left early morning... read more

A bit difficult to find as it hides among gas stations behind a small Restaurant. Sadly it was already closed for the winter season - on 9sep ?? - so I could only see it from outside. Would have loved to bist.

Cool sculptures made of bed springs and barb wire that you can walk up to. We left early morning and the barn was closed so we didn't go inside.

Another chance to stop and stretch your legs. This is in the back lot of a gas station. The odd sculptures nearby are more interesting - a giant barbwire buffalo, for example. But it also is a chance to visit some local culture. If you...More

Stopped here on a Sunday as we had driven by but never stopped. Even though it was closed, we could look in the windows and get an idea of the history.

Interesting little I80 side stop. Enjoyed the history, especially a peak into early plains living with the authentic style sod house. I've heard stories of my family's early history in Nebraska where they first lived in sod houses. It was really neat to have a...More

I made a quick visit to the Sod House Museum. There was a very informative guide there. She was full of information about the early settlers on the prairie and homesteading. She taught me many things. Knowing Nebraska now, I realize the hardships the early...More
