If you are into trains or not, you will enjoy this visit to a unique place. We'll built and the railroad guides are really knowledgeable.

Worth the little extra drive. Volunteers there were very knowledgeable and helpful. Be sure to go to both the 6th and 7th floors

I personally have a life long fascination with railroads. At one time I had an extensive model railroad layout. So I am not able to submit a non-biased review. I loved the entire visit. I loved watching some of the action in the switching yard...More

For train people, it's great. You can go to the top and overlook the whole rail yard. The people who work there are really nice. And they certainly know their history. Not a primary destination, but stop if near.

Nice introductory video, including pictures around the center. Nice gift shop. A bit disappointed in what was included, but going up in the tower to see the Union Pacific Railroad Bailey Yard mad up for any disappointment downstairs.

There is usually action going on all day long. There is a shift change at 3:00 pm and things typically stop and don't pick back up until about 4:00 pm. It is hard to say the very best time because it really depends on yard... More

One hour minimum. There are a lot of things to look at but I would think most people would be ready to move on after one to two hours. Besides you want to allow two to three hours for Buffalo Bill's Wild West Ranch. BTW... More
