Neat place to stretch your legs with the kids right off the highway.

Stopped at Hampton Inn while traveling to Colorado from Chicago. This is a neat place for the kids to stretch their legs and pick up a souvenir and learn a little history.

remember the roadside entertainment in the 60's? This one survives! Don't forget the back yard where there are some props to have your picture taken. Lots of stuff. There's a Wild Bill miniature circus that performs on the hour.

What a cute little place to go. A little shopping for souvenirs and a lot of history. They have a free little museum you can look at. Old fashioned can't was fun to look at and reminisce about when you where young. Fun place to stop. Very clean establishment.

We'd stopped for lunch and noticed the trading post so went to check it out. We didn't have a lot of time so couldn't go out back. Inside you first notice a large store carrying everything from old time candies & soft drinks, to moccasins, to jackalope heads and more. We spent a lot time perusing the candies and soft... More

Combining tacky gifts and authentic western history, this is Fort Cody Trading Post. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the photos, the western gear and the general history. Take an hour and browse, you will not only see history, you will find the gift. Do not miss The Miniature Buffalo Bill Wild West Show that runs every 30 minutes, Made entirely of... More

Why do I? I don't know, it is your typical tourist trap but for some reason I always get a kick out of wandering about. Good place to pick up some Nebraska tourista gifts :)

Definitely geared toward tourists as there are all kinds of souvenirs and gifts. Anything from rubber snakes to Fort Cody and Husker hoodies, candy, salsas, jewelry, etc.. Too much to mention here. There is a bit of history thrown in as there is a free miniature handcrafted wild west show every 30 minutes which the kids seem to like. Outside... More
