The Ogallala cemetery is one of many 'boot hill' cemeteries in the west. Pamphlets and several plaques are onsite, giving the story of some of the people who were buried here. You'll spend less than an hour here. But it's worth a visit, if you're...More

With all the hipe I have been brought up with regarding boot hill, it was a little disappointing when we actually got there. That being said, when in Ogallala, it is a must see - just for the experience.

This was an afternoon visit when we needed a break in a road trip. We had already stopped in town for gas and wanted to stretch our legs a bit, saw the cemetery on our Google map, and said, "Why not?" Signage and a free...More

If you like the old west. The cattle drive age. This is a must stop. Get off the interstate and walk through the old west.
