this is one of our favorite museums. four floors. a great authentic mine exibit downstairs. it is built like a mine was by retired miners. A must see if you are in the area

I think it reflects the simplicity of Nevada. Mining was and is important, and was reflected in the exhibit and the coal mine. Nice museum shop. Ok, interesting. witth seeing.

We really enjoyed the recreated mine shaft. I would recommend watching the video about it prior to going in. Answered a lot of questions. The information about the mint was also good. Overall a nice museum. Children under 17 are free. That's a nice bonus.

Had a great time at this museum and the real mine underneath is certainly worth a visit to see. Plenty of history about Nevada and very dynamic in its presentation of the information and exhibits.
