We stayed at David Walley's for 5 days. Not much to do in the resort aside from the hot springs, but such a short drive to South Lake Tahoe (25 mins), Reno (50 mins) and Virginia City (40 mins), that you can visit these places for the day then drive back and relax at the pool.

The location is beautiful. The quality of the mineral water is amazing. The staff is nice. Too many kids. No complimentary water. Messy locker rooms. My family and I were guests at Walley's resort and still had to pay a $55 per person / per day fee to access hot springs. NOT OK!!!

What a view! And so many hot springs we had one to ourselves!!! Great temperature and not too smelly. The resort provides towels and keys to lockers. Warning: lockers are small and will not fit a small duffle bag. And the locker room is small. Got pretty crowded, hard to change and get your belongings. Plus only one changing stall!... More

At the check in, Shelby did not give us the requested suite. Even though, the suite was available. After our complaint, Shelby wanted to clean the suite and give it to us, but her manager Mendy Stuart said that she would not give it to us anyways. We stayed in the hotel 7 years ago, however that stay was enjoyable.... More

The million dollars upgrades look nice, the rooms are clean and spacious but the sofa needs an end table on the other side, a nightstand is necessary on the other side of the bed, the kitchen needs utensils! However the staff is great, hard working and willing. The mattress is to firm and the A/C didn't work. We left the... More

A great find on way to South Tahoe in Genoa, NV. Had a nice server named Shiela. My wife and I split a full slab of ribs which they were nice enough to split for us ahead of time. There is plenty of ambience here. Established in 1862 this stretch was on The Pony Express route way back when. Don't... More

Stayed in a studio which had dishes and silverware this year. Last year we had to bring our own. Toaster only dropped toast 1/2 way. Had to turn the bread around. New toaster provided. Cleaning midweek lost my dental bag with electric toothbrush, tongue scraper, entodontist tool, floss picks, floss, toothpaste, mouthwash. There is NO storage in the bathroom Instead... More

We bought a combo deal to use the hot springs and have a 3 course Prix Fixe dinner. Springs were not at all crowded and felt wonderful. Restaurant service was friendly and relaxed. Menu was creative and high quality. A great excursion out of South Lake Tahoe/Stateline area.

The first time I visited Walley's was with my best friend back in 1995. Just got back from a visit with her and another day at Walley's. My how things change! Walley's has gone upscale with all sorts of spa treatments, resort-style rooms, a restaurant and bar. But the best thing about it is still the lovely setting and those... More
