This beach is clean, spacious, plenty of parking and perfect! The dog beach area at the south end is the best I have found. The sand is a little rough on the feet but it is a new favorite stop in Tahoe.

The beach and the trail leading to it are great with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe and the snow capped mountains. There is a fee to drive up and park close to the beach, but you can walk in using a paved trail from route...More

The sand was a little uncomfortable to walk on, not sure why. Great views, lots of beach and parking.

Honestly, I've been to this beach now at least 8 times, and upon each occasion, walking the park area, with the paved pathway down into the 'dog off leash' beach friendly area....is hardly that! I've seen numerous...pretty much "everyone" that has a large-sized dog....off the...More

Hard to imagine a better public beach then this one. You can camp near the casinos, if that's you're thing, and still have easy access to an absolutely enormous natural sand beach. Everybody was kind, the campsites were pristine, and the facilities were spotless. I...More

Beautiful sandy beach. Clean beach and clear crisp waters. Mountains in the background. Shade from trees and a covered picnic area available. No lifeguards. Went on Sunday in August and it was not very crowded. Small cottage where ice cream and drinks available. Pay parking...More

There are picnic tables and BBQs but get there early as they are quickly taken. You can walk forever and the water is calm enough for small children.

Visited in early August. The weather was fantastic. We parked in a free lot and walked about 20 minutes to get to Nevada beach. The view from the beach is really fantastic with mountains all around bordering the bright blue water of Lake Tahoe. The...More

I was surprised by just how nice a beach this was. I wasn't really expecting sand on a lake beach, high in the mountains. We spent an hour sitting on the beach, enjoying the view and the sun. The day we were there, the sand...More

I am not sure. It is near campgrounds and I don't believe it is fenced off or under ranger control except at the campground entrance. We walked from highway and saw no barriers.

If you plan to get a parking space, or even a spot on the beach plan to be their at 4:00am to 5:00am and stay there until 9:00 pm when the fire works go off. Honestly i live in the area and its not worth it.
