Wow, a HUGE 48 foot long (thankfully extinct) snake!

Small museum which packs a punch. Everything from life on the African savannah to moving life sized dinosaurs to King Tut and ancient Egyptian customs (excellent exhibit) to... read more

While this museum is rather small (especially compared to the mega-resorts), it is a quite nice to visit to learn about the ancient Earth, from dinosaurs to primitive man.

We really enjoyed our trip to this museum. Although a lot of the exhibits look a little worn, they are really informative and interactive. You can push buttons to light up animals within exhibits or make the dinosaurs move. Kids were everywhere and really seemed to be having fun. There's also a few rooms with activities just for kids. There... More

Just missed the temporary exhibit, but the rest of the Museum is well worth a trip to see. Plan on 2-3 hours for us senior's. Kids enjoy this also, a lot to see and worth your time

We had a bit of time to spend before meeting a friend, so we stopped into the museum. It was surprising to see how large the museum was and how many different exhibits there was to see. There were reproductions of dinosaurs, marine animals and an aquarium to see. Also dioramas with animals, a King Tut exhibit, desert animals and... More

There is so much going on in here! There were only two of us but we spent quite some time here. Very interesting layout as you go from room to room. Each area is interesting and very interactive (lots of school kids would be here on day trips), definitely a hands on experience for young ones. You go from sea... More

This is a little far north of the strip, but if you are hoping to find some quiet, educational fun for your young ones, this is a great place to go. They had lots of live animals, bugs and snakes (14 foot snakes!), and a sting ray shark tank. Each exhibit had fun and very educational (even for adults) things... More

Small museum which packs a punch. Everything from life on the African savannah to moving life sized dinosaurs to King Tut and ancient Egyptian customs (excellent exhibit) to desert survival to ocean (and other waters) activity to religions and their similarities to big mineral collection. Impressive information flow and taxidermy. Seasonal Christmas Trees and Holiday Observances around the world displays... More

Very basic museum but still there were so many things to learn. Excellent place for kids. Some snakes just terrified me. Egyptian section was great.Tickets were very cheap. I reckon there are better museums in USA than this but if you have plenty of spare time in Vegas then you can visit this museum,

We went to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. It is a very well done museum with exhibits and movies to see. Nevada is very good at their animal displays. We have seen several in other parts of the state, and this is the best "taxidermy" display of animals in the Las Vegas area. There is a modest admission charge.... More

My sister got married in Vegas last month, which was great - however I have a 2 year old and 5 year old and therefore was dreading taking them to Vegas. I fortunately have been to Vegas a few times as an adult and so didn't need to see the hotels etc and so made the effort to go to... More
