- sandydee_7United Kingdom402 contributionsWell worth a visitBest experience at the casino. As complete amateurs decided to try our luck and the blackjack tables were a minimum $5 dollar bet which is cheaper than the Strip. Had a lovely croupier who guided us and even walked away with winnings. Drinks were free whilst at the tables. A great way to spend the evening at this iconic casino.Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 3 October 2023
- Nicole W2 contributionsFun dealersDealers and servers were friendly. We stayed four nights here but our preferred table game doesn’t open until noon even with the request at 6 am. Taxi cabs with no drivers equal no fare. Glad your business is doing great as you turned mine away several times.Visited March 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 10 March 2024
- yolande b17 contributionsNicest hotel in FreemontStayed in the Carson tower for 5 nights. For the price it was a good deal. The ceiling did spring a leak & front desk did offer to switch rooms. We played slots & won a nice hand pay. Majority of staff very friendly.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 May 2024

Ok. I'll point out that the Valet Parking people were great. The maids were also great and the staff, in general, were very nice. The exceptions were: the staff at the bellhop desk, who demand a tip in advance. The cheapest trick is making an appointment to get your room cleaned. This really.set me off. We stayed 5 nights for the Toy Show. It's a very important event and stay in groups of many at one hotel. You check in and you are not told about the ridiculous rip-off rules that "apply " to the room- cleaning. Then, you find out, maybe, after the first day your room hasn't been cleaned, that you need to make an appointment before noon a day in advanced. You send a message to the number that's printed on a sign they leave in your room.
A few hours later, you sent it before noon, they send a text back saying you have to go to a link and answer a nonsense questionnaire to get your room cleaned. To make a long, upsetting story short, in 5 nights and 4 days, we got our room cleaned "once." I should also point out that there was a blue pill and a dime under one armchair that was still there after the only cleaning we got. The rooms have nothing in them. No garbage bags, no even a "do not disturb" sign. You have to ask for an iron and ironing board ... and tip the person. I had to tip a maid to get clean towels. We were 10 reps and we all had the same ugly experience. We have shows in Vegas 3 to 4 times a year. Needless to say, we will never stay in this hotel again. I hate getting ripped off!!

This has been the worst hotel experience in my life. We are staying in Rush Tower and the noise from Fremont Street is unbearable. The music is pulsating in our room from 6pm until 2am. The worst part is we paid over $50 for an upgrade just to have a Keurig Coffee maker in our room and we brought my parents who are in their 80’s. I have never written a bad review of anything but this is beyond the worst!

If you are downtown and a sports junkie like me, you can sit in a sportsbook all day and the race and sports book at the Golden Nugget is first rate. They have lots of TV's great areas to sit and good food and drink to partake in while betting on some good races and football games. Once note, they don't have a drink ticket policy so you have to pay for alcohol but that really isn't a beg deterrent to me. I am there to bet on some races. The ticket folks were very nice and very informative and they made my stay enjoyable. If you are downtown, this is the sports book to visit.

We booked 3 rooms for my daughter’s impromptu wedding and the front desk talked us into upgrading to the time of $100 each. Big dated rooms over the air conditioning and equipment. So noisy and terrible views. My other smaller room would have been better! Beware!!

Very disappointed. 1st off we stood in line for a bit to check in and the lady was kind of snippy and said we would get a text when our room was ready. Waited a few hours and still never received a text. Went back to stand in line again and was told our room had been ready. Get to our room and our roll away bed was not in there. Had to call and request it again. Finally brought us an "air mattress". Went to put my toiletries up and there is old trash from the previous guest under the bathroom sink. Went to casino and all smoking with no ventilation. That evening we aired up the air mattress and with in a few hours it was completely flat. Called downstairs and the lady who answered said "ok I will let them know" and then hung up before I could say anything else. 30 minutes later she comes knocking on the door and when my son asked if she wanted the other air mattress back she said, "huh, no leave it in there" very rude and walked away. Plus our sheets had old blood stains on them. We drove 5 hours so I can bring my husband, who is on oxygen, for his birthday to try another place other than Kickapoo which we really like. Needless to say he had to spend it in the room because of the smoking in the entire lobby areas because of the casino. And for the price of the room, it’s rather ridiculous there was no fridge or microwave. 1st time and definitely the last we will ever go there. The only thing nice was the vallet guys. They were quick and helpful and kind.

February had resort fees removed , we visited the first week in March . Got charged resort fees . For what?? The pool upstairs was closed , check in took an hour . Cabanas were closed , there wasn't even a coffee maker in the room . What are they charging resort fees for ??? Dumbfounded ! We've been staying there for years , 2023 will be the last time !

Terrible! We stayed here back in December as well. We got the room with a jacuzzi and our jacuzzi did not work, they could not fix it and said they were full and had no other rooms. We specifically got the room for the jacuzzi. This time, maintenance knocked on our door extremely early(Our privacy hanger was on the door) When we did not answer, they called. They wanted to do maintenance on our AC that would take a few hours.

The staff and service was fantastic and the Food was incredible. We ate at Cadillac (Mexican) and Grotto (Italian) and both meals were superb. Our room at the hotel, however, was not. I read that their last major renovation was in 2009- and it shows. The carpet in the hallways was stained and our room did not have the most pleasant smell. The ceiling had spots that looked like water damage with peeling paint. The whole room just looked very sad. But the bed was comfortable and the sheets looked clean. I would come back just for the food though!

Personnel horrible. Website apparently sends you to another booking service so then they wash their hands clean and will not accommodate you because you booked through another service. I’ve traveled the world and have never booked through a third-party.

We stayed here many times in the past but it's going downhill. I asked if could stay in the Gold Tower and was told it's "being renovated". We had to change rooms twice before we got a decent one. The first one had a stained toilet and expansive roof view. The second room had a musty odor. As I was waiting for my husband to change the room the second time I was told to get off the white leather couch nearby. I was scolded for sitting there. When I tried to take a shower the water was cold and I was told there "was a boiler problem and to let it.run for awhile to warm up". Someone told me there was an elevator problem a few weeks ago. I have the feeling it's being sold soon. The online sports book has been sold already.

It's a long hike!
Better to take the bus, just outside of Binion's casino.
Buy a bus pass at the kiosk there. You have a few choices:one time, all day or 3 day passes. Good deal.
