You can use Google Maps or Waze to find the Gold Strike Hot Spring trailhead (not to be confused with the Lake Mead Hot Springs trail which is located in the AZ side). This is a 5 mi round trip strenuous hike. I would not recommend this if you have never hiked before or if you are out of shape... More

Most (75-80%) of this trip was super easy, light elevation changes with either gravel or stepping rock. The remainder was various levels of difficulty, with at least 5 places where using a rope to shimmy up/down a six or eight foot drop was required. There are small hot springs and a streams which WILL get you wet. This is a... More

I definitely recommend this hike to those who are prepared to do a long hike that includes climbing up and down steep rocks with ropes. Hot springs are great. Don't go in high heat, signs are posted of people who have died here. I've seen people who tried to take small children and pets, it usually doesn't work and appears... More

This hike is challenging with a couple rope assists and slick rock near the hot springs--it's definitely not for beginners. Avoid in summer months. Trail is closed due to extreme heat and the amount of rescues that happen there. Violating the closure can result in a fine.

It was a great experience walking from the car to the trailer kind of sucked from the gravel but once you get over there and you see all the nice rocks and ropes that already there and all the nice hot springs in it is a great experience bring lots of water

Really good climbing with my friend and a guide. Wide selection of routes and shaded areas if you just want to take it easy for a bit. Despite having plenty of climbing closer than this, it was well worth the drive.

Trail was great, with varying grades and scenery. Some wherewithal is required at some points (for example, it might prove tough to get all the way to the Colorado River if you don't wish to get wet), but it is overall a really fun experience, even for novices like myself. Some rope climbing is required. We made it to the... More

Trail started off easy then we got to the first rope. I am not a heights person or an avid climber. Needless to say I pushed through with my hubby. Bouldering. scrambling and going down 7 ropes. The trail took us 4.5 hours round trip. I recommend gloves. Scraped my knees and elbows and was stiff for a couple of... More

Fantastic trail...wife and I completed the trail and it was well worth it...first 25 minutes were easy then the challenge started...recommend bringing gloves for the ropes..long pants..long shirt and extra shoes because your feet will get wet...also bring water and food..challenging trail with climbing down and back up the boulders...have to be in shape or it will be extremely difficult...but...
