- One_Bad_MofoSevenoaks, United Kingdom221 contributionsCheap but for a reasonI booked a room here at it was reasonably priced, or so I thought. It was not until I was there that I discovered that internet access is limited to two devices per room. If you want to use more devices that'll be $14.99 a day. As is now the norm in Las Vegas there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. I was expecting this but not the $6+ charge for a takeaway coffee from the outlet in the hotel lobby. Nor was I prepared for the extortionate price of drinks from the bars in the resort. A bottle of beer and a spirit and mixer was over $32. Walk down the road to the Mirage and there was an offer of two spirits and mixers for $16. Needless to say, I kept returning to the Mirage rather than drinking in Bally's. On a more positive note, the room was large and clean. Less positive was the half-hour wait to get the shower fixed when the tap failed leaving the shower running on hotVisited December 2022Written 18 December 2022
- Michael B6 contributionsSame old hotel, new name.I only went back to Horseshoe thinking they would have changed something about the old Bally's. Guess what, no. I couldn't tell a difference. The bathroom was simply nasty and i had to search for a kiosk to cash my slot ticket. While standing in line for the only working kiosk, a gentleman was commiserating about nothing working in the place. He commented that he had stayed there a week previous and only one elevator worked. Changing the name was apparently the only thing that was done. Will not go back.Visited July 2023Written 11 July 2023
- Pioneer1652823 contributionsNot the best and probably not the worstCheck in was a bit annoying. We were there at 2:45. If we checked in then it would cost extra. However, if we wait and check in at 3:00 there would be no additional cost if a room was available at that time. We waited til 3:00. The room was just ok - nothing special. When renos were done in the bathroom, the extremely old and worn out cabinet was kept for the sink. There was an odor of some kind of spray which might be trying to mask other smells. This odor was quite prevalent around the elevators in the lobby. No coffee pot in the room - not sure if that is standard in Vegas. A kiosk in the hotel was selling muffins or croissants for $6 each. A small coffee was also $6. A medium coffee can be had for $1.79 at nearby McDonald's. Then of course there is the mandatory resort fee of $43+ which we are still not sure what it's for, but I guess most hotels are charging a resort fee. One of the hotel reps also couldn't tell us what it was for besides the gym. Will definitely stay in a hotel with a NON smoking casino next time.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 4 November 2023

BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS FOR THE HOTEL ROOMS AT HORSESHOE.
PHOTOS OF DIRTY AND POORLY MAINTAINED ROOM AT THE HORSESHOE. THEY ADVERTISE THESE ROOMS AS RENOVATED TO TOTALLY MISLEAD YOU. The photos on the website do not show what the current state of the rooms are.

This hotel is outdated, rooms not clean and pitiful service/security. Fortunately, we're here for Grand Prix, so we're not in the room too long, but what a disappointment.

went to the main floor to get water. I was advised to get a bottle of water. Seems like the management wants to make money every step of the way. Resort fee, this fee that fee.
I would never stay nor do I recommend this horse shoe Las vegas. There are lots of hotels on the strip which are cheaper and better.

The lineup to checkin was literally out the door with only 4 humans at the counter and about 12 self help kiosks also with a massive lineup. We checked our bags and returned a few times over 3+ hours for the lineup to finally be decent. Upon finally checking in (with ONE human at the counter by then) our RESERVED king bed would not be honoured. They only had queen beds left. To get a king bed we had to pay 50.00 a night more to “upgrade” to a suite. The AC wasn’t working. 2 Technicians later we finally had a cool room on our last of 4 night stay. Despite them offering and us accepting to get our room cleaned each day they didn’t clean it the 1st 2 days. AND the room had moths flying around as did the hallways. Chasing them around as they buzzed the lights above our bed was a new added Las Vegas activity we weren’t expecting. I put in a call 60+ hours ago to “escalate” our complaint about the blatant rip off of room price upgrade to get a king bed we reserved in December. Despite being assured I’d get a call from a Manager in 24 hours nobody has bothered to call. I called again and was finally offered a 3 day waiver of the resort fee. I took it only because I’m certain nobody is going to call. We’ve always stayed at 3 properties mid-strip at Horseshoe or Paris or Planet Hollywood. Never again. Time to move to MGM Group of properties.

We stayed at Bally’s-Horseshoe for a gymnastics competition that was being held at the hotel. Our room was on the 18th floor. It was a non smoking room and it smelled strongly of marijuana. The room was filthy and clearly had not been cleaned. I would never recommend this hotel and would give it zero stars!

Very disappointing, It’s been over ten years since I’ve been to Vegas. I used to come to Vegas a few times a year and mostly stayed at Ballys. Back then I considered Ballys a 3 1/2 to 4 star hotel. So when we booked this trip I decided to come back to Ballys. What a mistake!! This place has gone so downhill I wouldn’t even give it a 2 star rating. The room was disgustingly dirty. I will attach photos so you can judge yourself. I went down to the registration desk showed them the photos and complained. So they moved me to another room. They called it a mini suite but it’s just a handicapped accessible room. So we get into our new room and it’s a little better but still seems like nobody dusted in weeks and the light switch in the bathroom has some kind of crud all over it. Also see photo.

I see on the website there is a fee for Wi-Fi, which surprises me as I thought free Wi-Fi was standard at all Vegas hotels. I was just wondering what the fee is per day.

I do not use hotel WiFi as my company computer Dept advised not the safest. I use my cell phone data plan.
I did think WiFi is free as part of resort fee at larger casinos. We stay at Paris, Flamingo, Rio, Bally & other Caesar's/Total Rewards properties and have free access to wifi...I just do not use that access. Their websites do have contact info or FAQ pages...so check that. Enjoy Las Vegas and do the 24 hour buffet pass at Total Rewards casinos (about US $50 to $65 per day (excludes Caesars) as gives many dining experiences. We will eat late breakfast on 1 day at Paris, skip lunch, do dinner buffet at Rio and do breakfast at Flamingo (daily brunch offers food and mimosas included only at Flamingo). Ballys does not have a buffet but has great croissant breakfast sandwiches, salads, lunch sandwiches, and clam chowder was great or excellent. Ballys has great Guiness on draft also. Rooms are close to casino. We have stayed and at Ballys and clean. There and other casino hotel rooms: we leave $1 per person on bed and maid leaves extra shampoo, soap, & other items. Good Luck at the casinos.

I have changed coins (less than $10.00) with no problems. I'm not sure how much money they will change.

Is there an airport shuttle to and from the hotel? Is there a wheelchair available, if needed?
Rick Y

Bally's does not have an airport shuttle you can call ahead to a shuttle company or a limo to transport you all for a fee or get a cab right outside by airport luggage pick up. Wheelchairs are only available by request for a fee when you book your stay at any of the hotel/casinos.
