We drove to Lee Canyon on Christmas day from the Strip for a day of skiing. It is roughly about an hour north. We got lucky, because they received like 18 inches of snow in the days prior. My husband had never seen snow let alone skied, but I had spent quite a bit of time skiing growing up. The... More

Lee Canyon is about an hour north of The Strip and reached by taking US-95 north for about 35 miles and exiting onto Hwy-156, Lee Canyon Road which passes through an area of high desert, with large stands of Joshua Trees, then follows Lee Canyon, with mountains on both side, past picnic areas, trailheads and a campground, and terminates on... We took about an hour drive outside of Las Vegas to Lee Canyon. The temperature dropped from 92 to 57 within the hour. We could see snow on the mountain tops all the way up and when we reached the top we were able to walk on patches of snow and make some snow balls. A very nice change to... More

Really nice place to visit during a day in Las Vegas. It's about 50miles from the strip. You can go there for skiing or just to look the beautiful place. I went early March and there was still lot of snow.

I went with 5 friends for our first time skiing experience and it was great, the instructor was very patient, also the equipment rented was in perfect conditions.

Lee Canyon is only a 1 hour drive from the Strip along US 95 for about 30 minutes then follow the signs by turning left into Lee Canyon (this is about 10 to 12 miles past the turnoff for Mount Charleston). OK, it's not a huge ski area, but if your visiting Vegas and can ski and its between Oct... More

The winter here in Vegas is pretty boring for nature lovers. I mean it's cold.can't enjoy lake mead, can camp! You can ski Yes it's a small resort but half a day to see some white, run some slopes. I recommend! Snowboarders even have ramps to jump! Wish they had more runs and lifts. But for Vegas I'm happy they... More

I have had the pleasure of skiing a lot of places in my life--Tahoe, Steamboat Colorado, Park City. This was the leanest operation that I have been to even though I have skied plenty of the smaller resorts in Tahoe. My daughter and I went there shortly after Christmas and it was super crowded and there was little snow. I... More

We went on Dec. 22 and had a great time! 45 minutes away from Vegas strip and easy to get to the mountain, not sooo crowded. The rental place easy to rent, we had a great day skiing! Trails also good but not for beginners! Only one very short green trail, so very borring! Only blue and blacks and very... More
