We had a great trip to the Death Valley. Our driver knew a lot about this place and gave us many informations. We also had enough time for short strolls, take pictures and for a lunch provieded by Bindlestiff Tours

If you're into hiking and photography then I would say Zion National Park in southern Utah! It's about 3 hours from Vegas and absolutely beautiful! Only drawback may be summer crowds.
