- T JPittsburgh, Pennsylvania707 contributionsVery cool, family friendly experience downtownHad been to Downtown Vegas a number of times but had never stopped by the Container Park, definitely a cool experience! You are welcomed at the front of it by a massive metal praying mantis, who spits fire at night into the air. My brother and I felt it across the street walking by! The inside is basically a mini mall with a few restaurants, bars and shops to walk around. We just walked through and saw everything in 10 minutes, but you could definitely spend some time there if you wanted to. They even had a stage where they were setting up some music in the back. Definitely a cool place to check out.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 October 2023
- farrfamily4 contributionsAwesome unique place! We've been to Vegas numerous times but this was our first time venturing past the bright lights of Fremont. I regret not doing this sooner! I really enjoyed this area. Lots of unique, one of a kind shops. Very artsy - bohemian/eclectic style so maybe not for everyone. Will definitely be coming back.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 December 2023
- TannisRobLadner, Canada777 contributionsA germ to visit when you want to experience something different!I believe this is my most favourite place in Vegas - it is downtown, about a block from the Fremont Street Experience. It's where the locals go. It is literally built out of containers. It's basically a park area, with retail, food & beverage businesses, playground areas for the kids, a stage for music and some green spaces. It is lovely to go and hang out in. We had frozen rose drinks and a charcuterie board at the Bin 702 bar, and sat on the couches on their patio. At 5 pm, the band started playing and we had a great time enjoying the environment.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 2 March 2024
- JillNew Jersey764 contributionsCheck it ou!Some really cool spots. We got a few $5 shirts at the consignment/vintage shop. Not everything was open and the weather wasn't optimal, but it was still a good time. Be sure to check out the preying mantis out front, he puts on a really cool show at night!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 13 April 2024

I highly recommend staying around to see the glowing moving huge grasshopper shooting flames out of its antennae after dusk. It’s easy to walk to if you are staying on Fremont Street. Extremely kid friendly. Several specialty shops - but to be honest, I’m a senior and this is NOT my market. Everyone is friendly. Definitely recommend the visit here.

I went to Container Park for the first time on a Friday night for a concert (Metalachi). It was a lively crowd and I had a chance to see a mall, apartment complex, and even restrooms made from converted rail cars. During the day and even into the night, there is lots of shopping and some restaurant/bars. Outside is a large praying mantis that shoots fire about every 20 minutes after dusk. Such a unique experience. I went for a concert, but stayed to see an amazing offering that is the Container Park. Sooo cool.

Support growing small businesses while enjoying funky art exhibits and usually some kind of live music. Good for families (but only until 9, which is nice for those of us that do not have little ones). They have a fun playground/play house and giant Simon Says, if I still had little guys I would be taking day trips to Container Park, especially because it is FREE entertainment. My boyfriend and I love to hangout here in the evenings for a drink and some music. We have done concerts, beer and wine crawls and enjoyed them all!

We went to the container park with friends of which one is a Purple Heart Veteran, it was wonderful to escape the madness of Fremont Street! On this visit we did discuss how some of the businesses were struggling., so we decided to go back again the next night & we were confronted by 2 obnoxious so called ‘security guards’ who would not admit us as we did not have ID. They told us as it was 9pm we couldn’t be admitted without ID - according to my watch it was 8.56pm - and Apple Watches are pretty dammed accurate. I am sure the struggling businesses within the container park would have been happy for our patronage.
We were n ot told why ID was required, just told to leave - four 60 year olds (++) told to go away because we did not have ID!
Please let the struggling businesses within the container park know that the security guards cost them about $200US in lost business ..

This is a great idea for a city that typically is noisy and busy. The Container Park is a place where you can go grab a coffee or a meal, do a little light shopping, and enjoy a moment. Since it was a nice spring-like day, we took our drinks upstairs to a seating area and enjoyed them in the sun. It was a nice respite from the craziness that is Vegas. Would love to come back for the Sunday music that they do.

Neat concept putting containers together to create a space. It little shops, food and in the middle a play ground. We went during the day after walking around Fremont street we came back at night to unwind & relax. There a lawn are with mega legos and real comfy chairs. It kid friendly but after 9 you have be 21 to enter.
The flying Mantis was my favorite part of Vegas! Go see it at Night it lights and this fire show ever 15 mins I think.

Thank you Freaksfruitloosp for your review and for stopping by the Downtown Conatiner Park. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the shops and the play area. And yes, my favorite part is the Praying Mantis as well. She is always fun and spontaneous. We hope to see you on your next visit, safe travels!

Hours say opens at 10am. Maybe two restaurants were open. Everything else was closed. Very loud music playing constantly you can barely have a conversation. The playground for the kids looked a lot of fun. Beside that, not much there. A couple of shops and restaurants. Wouldn’t go out of the way to go there.

We were in town to visit friends for the holiday weekend. We brought our 9 year old son with us. Our friend recommended we go to downtown to Container Park. We were surprised to find a family friendly spot so close to the many adult offerings near Fremont Street (DON'T take your kids there. That's a review for another time.). We were able to monitor our son in the enclosed play area from an outside table. There are small food restaurant/vendors that you could easily enjoy as adults as your kid(s) enjoy the play area. It was a nice way to enjoy 1.5 hours of normalcy with out the usually Vegas stimulus. Definitely worth a visit if you have kids.

Fun little shopping / eating area a little off Fremont Street. Has some shops, art galleries, and a couple places to get a drink, ice cream and food. Nice get-away for an afternoon away from the craziness that is the Fremont street experience. The Mexican restaurant there has very, very bland food so be prepared for that. The ice cream in a waffle cone is apparently delicious (my daughter got some twice!)

Maybe we were just there on an off day or something, but there was very little activity happening and things were kind of dead--no live music or anything of that nature.
The play area for kids seems pretty cool, although it's in direct sun for a portion of the afternoon, so proceed with caution. We did find a few really interesting places including The Olive Branch, a shop that has specialty olive oils and balsamic vinegars.
Overall it was just another place to shop, albeit one that focuses on small businesses. If you're in the area it's worth checking out.

I know there’s a curfew for minors under 21 but would this still apply if I am with my daughter?
Written 10 August 2022
When I was at Container Park 2 years ago, I saw many children with parents after dark. Some of the entertainment was specifically for youngsters. However I didn’t see unaccompanied children.

There are pay private lot parking across the street from Container Park or you can park along the street that has metered parking.
It's free metered street parking Monday through Friday 11a to 1p during lunch time.
Hope this helps.

Is the kids playground area fully open or are there any restrictions? Thanks!
Written 4 February 2021
Hi! Yes the play area is open. We don't have the legos and blocks out since it is a highly touched area. The big slide is under maintenance but the other two slides are open to use as well the NEOS light game. We sanitize and wipe down the highly touched areas every hour as well. We hope to have you by soon!
Let me know if you have any other questions.

do you actually have to pay the £7 to get into this attraction, as im seeing a lot of people saying its free to get into
Written 30 January 2020
It doesn't cost anything. It's not really an attraction. It's just a unique concept where the shoppes and restaurants are housed in old railroad shipping containers. Do a search on Las Vegas Downtown Container Park and you can read all the details on their site. It's OK to see but the Fulton Street Experience is what you really want to see. The Container Park is at the very end of it.

Is there parking available? We are planning to go to Fremont Street. Can I park somewhere by Fremont Street and walk to the container park? Thank you
Written 16 March 2019
Yes. Right on the corner of Fremont and across from The Container Park there is paid parking lots available. That's where we parked.
Written 19 March 2019
7th and Fremont in the old Fremont shopping district, north of the strip.

Can you get public transport to container park?
Written 23 June 2018
Yes you can. The public bus gets you within a short walk of the park.
Written 6 November 2019
No they don't charge an admission fee. It's not a park park. I think it's called a park just because the containers are parked there together in one place.
Written 10 March 2018
I'm not sure, I don't think they do music on weekdays. I know it is only kid friendly till 9pm.
