Being outdoors for the better part of the morning, decided to take our slightly sunburnt carcass to somewhere with air conditioning and an opportunity to do a bit of shopping. Initiated an excursion to the Preferred Outlets at Laughlin Mall. Big mistake. Maybe back in the days of the dinosaurs this mall was the place to shop in Laughlin. It had 40 top named stores and a thriving food court. How times have changed. Arrived at the mall, only to greeted by a parking lot with a dozen vehicles. Not a good first impression. Entered the mall, only to be hit with a blast of hot air. It was hotter in the mall than outside, Mall air conditioning not working. Due to landlord and tenet issues, there are only a few stores remaining in this 2-story complex. Checked out a couple of the open business, and noted no clientele, just a few extremely bored employees, who look like they would rather be somewhere else. As we walked around the mall, noted a three elderly mall walkers, but no customers. Do not even think about using the restrooms, unless your wearing a gas mask and a hazmat suit. Stunk to high heaven and beyond disgusting. The food court is a thing of the past with only one facility open. If your smart, forget this mall and run like the devil to greener pastures. Most definitely not worth a visit.

This place has a lot of potential and the folks that work there were very nice and friendly. However it did have a ghost town feel as only about half of the mall was occupied by businesses. I heard from a local that Covid wasn't completely to blame. Overall I had a great experience.
