Very nice drive

Very nice and scenic area for a drive or plenty of spots to get out and hike around. Fairly smooth dirt road.

We rented a SUV, and one day drove thru Christmas Tree Pass. We are from Wisconsin and this landscape was very new and different to us. I am sure people from the western states would not be impressed but we were!!

If i told you everthing about CHRISTMAS TREE PASS, it may ruin all the fun and excitement. . BUT I WILL say this is a sacred mountain to the local native Americans and the beliefs are before entering the HAPPY HUNTING GROUNDS one must pass through. .. thats all i can say, and that you wont be the same when... we took the road to the petroglyphs from the main road, approximately 4 miles, hiked about 1/2 mile, and WOW!!!!! lots of petroglyphs. They were everywhere. the hike was easy to moderate depending on the path you choose, riverbed or top side trail. There are restrooms and a history fact board explaining them. It was fascinating

My mother wanted to see the petroglyphs and one of our local friends told us about Christmas Tree Pass. It's quite the drive and not really recommended for those without 4 wheel drive. But we saw roadrunners and other birds and some of the rock carvings. Very cool, but kind of scary dirt road once you get up in to... More

As we were turning onto the dirt road I was sure that we were going to end up lost in the desert ... the husband insisted ... so one we went. I am so glad that he didn't listen! This was a beautiful drive and well worth the time. Overall it took us about 2 hours to travel the pass.... More

Two couples visited this site on 10/15/15. I drove a Jeep Liberty in 2WD - a passenger car can make this route as long as the car has good tires. Early morning is a better time to travel (until the winter months arrive) due to heat if you stop. We entered just W of Laughlin (Hwy 153) and drove the... More

Decided on a whim on the way back to Vegas to take this road. Probably a dumb thing to do but we did make it and the scenery was amazing! Can be treacherous becaus of no pavement but worth doing once!

What a great drive, close to Laughlin NV. Great place to enjoy the beauty of the desert. High clearance vehicle, didn't need to put it in 4 wheel drive.

drove through and took awhile because it has narrow roads. Lizards crossing the road so careful not to run them over.
