My wife and I first went to Mt. Rose 5 years ago. We've been going at least once each Snow season ever since. Easy to get to from Reno. Reasonable lift-ticket prices.

Small hill (overall size vs altitude). FUN with lots of green runs for the less adventurous! Can get very WINDY. Starting to be very high priced now without coupons/discounts.

We had the best time at Mt. Rose. The trails are groomed and if you don't want groomed you go down the chutes. The lower lodge is awesome, terrific view of the valley floor. All levels of skiing is available and because it is the highest elevation, the snow is great - When its there!

Can't say how much I fun I had last spring at Mt. Rose ski resort! It was my first time on a snowboard and locals in the Reno-Tahoe area recommended Mt. Rose as best place to learn. Snowboard instructors Heather, Scott, Brandon, Chad, Christine and Corey are extremely knowledgeable and patient. I'm so glad to have learned great techniques from... More

Mt Rose is a good ski mountain. There are runs for all abilities and is close to Reno with a beautiful drive to the ski mountain. The restaurants are good and the lifts tickets are priced reasonable and the elevation of the mountain gets snow when other places don't.

Resort is family friendly and has lessons and rentals available. Snow pack is always good as its the highest resort in Tahoe. Great full bar with fantastic views of... More

Mount Rose Ski Area has the steepest terrain of any mountain in North America. The chutes are scary steep, and really for expert, extreme skiers. Be careful in those....I love to ski the mountain. Either for a few hours, or all day, it is a good value.

I love Mt. Rose. I have been skiing there with my family since I was about 5 years old. Although I like how it used to be more personable and family oriented, it is still my favorite place to ski. I buy a pass there every year. There is an increasing amount of corporate feel to it that I'm really... More

Within the past year or so Mt. Rose removed (e.g.) Senior Citizen and student discounts. Their season pass is no longer competitive with nearby competition (e.g., Northstar, Heavenly, Kirkwood = one / 1 pass applicable for ALL three / 3 resorts). It appears that since Mt. Rose is now up for sale the current owner appears to be wanting to... More
