My husband and I got passes this year since we live 10 min down the hill, and we had so much fun! It is about 25 min from Reno making it the closest ski resort. It has the highest base in all of Tahoe. It...More

My wife and I like Mt Rose during the week. Not crowded and you can get in many runs in just a few hours. Love the two for Tuesdays and half price for women on Thursdays.

Very close to Reno, excellent skiing. Ok, it is a small 'hill', but it is big enough to have fun and get a good workout for 2 hours. The best way of using Mt Rose is to buy a season pass and go for 2...More

Rose isn't the largest Tahoe ski resort, but it is a locals' favorite, and for good reason. Highest base elevation keeps snow better longer. Experts will enjoy the Chutes, while there are several good beginner runs, including a long meandering green trail.

Easy access from the city of Reno makes this affordable ski resort very popular with local residents. Big parking lot. Well-developed slopes.

We booked at Squaw Valley and wanted to try some other ski areas. Several of the locals recommended Mt. Rose - not only for their 2-fer Tuesday tickets and Ladies day discounts - but for the higher elevation and great ski conditions. We were not...More

This was an extremely fun place to be, unfortunately during the time we went there was not much snow, but it did not take away from the fun!

Very good management, slopes and it has everything for everyone. It can be missed easily if you are in Reno but it just a few miles away tucked in the mountain ranges neatly!

I've never encountered altitude sickness at Mt. Rose or anywhere, and I regularly backpack at altitudes of 8,000-10,000 feet. It won't be an issue.

Hello adventurer! It will take approximately 20-25 min. To get to Mt Rose from GSR. Another 10 to Chickadee Ridge. I would speculate there will still be snow in a month. We just got 5-6 inches in the higher elevations... More
