We did not stay downtown, thankfully, as most of the hotels down there are rundown and need updating. Harrah's is one of them. The entrance looks worse than a Motel 6 in shanty town USA. The casino made me claustrophobic and was pretty dead, on a Friday evening. The flow of the casino made me want to dart for the... More

Harrahs is an old hotel but very conveniently located in the heart of downtown. Rooms need updating but very comfortable and clean with the right price. Staff was awesome. Buffet was excellent. Paybacks at casino were good. Valet parking is free just on tip basis.

Like the El Dorado, this has the air of an old 1950/60-ish casino. To me, that just means there is no attitude - you can just relax and place slots or whatever. One of the security guards gave me a quick tour when I asked where the Total Rewards desk was - he was very informative and interesting. He was... More

I recently stayed here due to weather issues in Lake Tahoe. This hotel has to be the best value of any of the Reno casinos. My room rate was $33. Great location. I do wish this hotel offered more dining options.

The best part of this casino is the buffet restaurant. The food was excellent. However, the casino was very smoky, and I felt dirty when I left. Peppermill has better atmosphere.

We stayed at this hotel using the Total Rewards points we earned in Atlantic City. The room was nice and the staff was friendly. The casino wasn't as updated as the others in the area and seemed a little outdated.

Downtown. Okay playing floor. Buffett average. A bit smokey, but not bad. Not much more to say. Not best Casino, not worst.

Great service when checking in . Loved the Buffet especially the chocolate dipped strawberries. Room is very tastefully decorated. Has king sized bed t.wo setties that are cute and comfortable. Room gives you a pampered feeling. Located downtown Reno do very easy to wander around town and explore.

We were there on December this year, had a nice time. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We visit Harrahs often, but did not win this trip, The food was good as always and the bed was very nice and comfy.
