Went to Harrah's on a Wednesday and it was quiet. A few blackjack tables and even fewer patrons. Slots were empty and it was a nice casino to have a drink and relax. Hopefully it picks up during the weekends. Most of downtown Reno is...More

You can definately tell it is an older casino games are new but tables and furniture seem to have the 80's vibe.

I loved Harrah's as it was so centrally located. You're right in the heart of Reno unlike some of the other Casino resorts I stayed at which might as well be located in Siberia. If you stay here, you can at least walk everywhere you...More

Bad experience from check-in to check-out. Staff are inexperienced, indifferent, and seemed confused. Little interaction with new guests to help them feel good about choosing Harrah's; just by standing in line you can hear all the complaints from other guests - there were lots of...More

Casino is okay, just a lot of small areas that are very smokey. There is a Starbucks and a few other restaurants located on the 2nd floor. Free parking and good people watching.

Rooms were clean but were really showing wear. Casino was the same, a real contrast to the casinos across the street. The Motown Tribute show in the evening, however, was top-notch! If you want to gamble or want a bigger variety of night-life, you have...More

For $200/night for a standard King room, I would expect more. Everything standard is present - bed, tv, safe, desk/chair, a/c etc. However, the room is small by modern standards and very outdated - color scheme, furniture, fittings - all seen to be from the...More

i realize this is an old question but nobody has gotten it right!! Harrah's does NOT have a shuttle any longer. You must take a cab to and from the airport. They gave up their shuttle almost two years ago.

If you're staying at Harrah's Reno, I believe the closest skiing is at Mt Rose, which is a 35 minute drive if the roads are dry, probably longer if the snow is flying. Next would be Heavenly Valley, which is about an hour... More
